The measure of a living room is whether everyone reaches the couch — on a screen reader, on a keyboard, with low vision, one-handed, or over a rural connection that limps. This page is the standing checklist this site is built and re-checked against.

The standing checklist

• One honest heading tree per page, with landmarks assistive tech can steer by
• Alt text on every product, pet and packaging image — including the button images
• A skip-to-content link first in the tab order, and focus outlines you can actually see
• Color never the only carrier of meaning: white and black rollers named in words, always
• Contrast held at WCAG 2.1 AA across the palette, hot pink included
• Real header cells in every table, so weight pairs with tool instead of dissolving into fragments
• Finger-sized touch targets, one-handed reflow, and no script standing between you and the words
• Static, lightweight pages that load politely on the thin end of a signal

When a board creaks

Somewhere this checklist will fail someone, and hearing about it is a favor, not a complaint: [email protected] with 'access' in the subject goes to the front of the queue and gets a fix — or an honest timeline — within two business days. The checklist itself is re-walked on the same calendar as the rest of the site, and the door only ever opens wider.
